History: Juli Pierce was born in the Bronx, NY. She was the oldest girl of quadruplets-Jared, Daniella and Daniel. Her mother was involved with another rocker from a band she was in and her biological father left before he was born. Her mother struggled to raise 4 children on her own. The children constantly lived in fear that the system would take them, so they worked hard and did everything they could to support their mother who worked as a hairdresser and weekend singer to support the family. The family had almost no money and what little they had was spent on food, household bills and school supplies.
When Juli was 11, her mother got a full time job offer from a world renowned band. The gig meant touring and leaving the children, but everyone knew it was for the best. Juli and her siblings stayed with an elderly neighbor while their mother was out of town.
While she was in the band, Juli’s mother met her stepfather. The two married and her stepfather adopted the older children. They had another daughter, Juli’s half sister Amber. The family moved to Buffalo, NY to raise the children in the suburbs.
Juli loved dance, and the entire time she grew up, she was either taking free dance lessons at the YMCA or picking up real lessons when she finally moved out of the city. The teachers all declared her a natural, so when it was time for college, Juli headed to NYU in the hopes she could get a career in Broadway theatre.
Juli loved New York. She adored all the energy, the shows, and being able to get around via public transportation. For her 21st birthday, Juli’s parents took her to Tiffany’s and bought her a silver heart necklace. Juli was thrilled because to her, Tiffany’s was a sign of just how far her family had come.
One morning, Juli woke up to her roommate have a fit over the news. Juli watched the news, but she just couldn’t believe what she was seeing. It was like a horror movie. For the moment, the dorms were safe, but Juli didn’t know how long that would last.
By that night, zombies had overrun New York. Juli and her roommate had taken to the streets in hopes that they would find a way to Staten Island, or somewhere that they could block off. But before they could get far, Juli’s roommate fell to the zombies. Juli ran into an apartment building.
Making her way to the top of the building, Juli found the door to the penthouse suite unlocked. Letting herself inside, she checked for zombies and then began securing the site. Deciding she would eventually have to break out, Juli armed herself with several knives and headed out to look for supplies.
In a demolish Barnes and Noble, Juli found a copy of the book called “How to Survive a Zombie Attack.” A few months ago, Juli would have thought the book was insane, but today it seemed pretty practical.
While she didn’t cut her hair, Juli followed the other rules and set up a good home in the penthouse. She ventures out at night once a week when she needs supplies, but spends most of her time in her new home, reading, dancing and taking in the city view from the rooftop.
Location At Time Of Outbreak: NYC
Sample Post: Juli accepted the fact that she shouldn’t use her batteries to run her CD player, but what fun was dancing without music. Today, she was moving to the Mamma Mia! Soundtrack. But between songs, she could hear a low moan. Juli frowned and glared towards the open window. Snapping off the stereo, she strolled across the room and leaned out. Yep, the zombie on the balcony below was still there, like he’d been all week.
“Shut up down there!” She yelled. “You didn’t put up this much fuss over Les Mis!”
The zombie moaned again and raised a hand like her could reach her. Juli closed the window. Unless the zombie turned into Spiderman, she was pretty safe.
